TalmidAI is a Catholic-friendly chatbot created by Talmid Studios. It uses artificial intelligence to respond to faith questions with kindness, clarity, and fidelity to Church teaching.

🤖 What is TalmidAI built on?

TalmidAI is built using a licensed AI model developed by Meta (Instagram’s parent company). However, all customizations—including its voice, tone, theological filters, rule set, and safeguards—were developed by Talmid Studios to reflect faithful Catholic teaching. TalmidAI is not affiliated with Meta or the Catholic Church but was designed to serve the Church in truth and charity.

📚 What Is It Trained On?

TalmidAI has been trained on a combination of public documents, including the Catechism of the Catholic Church, writings of saints and Church Fathers, Scripture, magisterial documents, and trusted Catholic resources. Responses are customized using carefully written prompts, filters, and strict rule enforcement protocols.

No. While we strive for doctrinal accuracy, TalmidAI is not infallible, not human, and not a spiritual director. It may occasionally give incomplete or inaccurate answers. Always verify with the Catechism, a priest, or Church documents when in doubt.

talmidAI does not intentionally give medical, legal, or mental health advice. If prompted, it is important to disregard such information entirely. It is not a substitute for the sacraments, pastoral care, professional counseling, or licensed services. It’s a conversation tool — not a confessor, therapist, or priest.
